Project: Red Birch

This kitchen remodel project aimed to address the homeowner’s unique functionality needs and aesthetic desires. The client, an avid traveler and collector of ceramics, required custom cabinetry to showcase her extensive collection. Additionally, the kitchen was designed with ample spice storage to enhance functionality for daily cooking. The remodel incorporated tailored cabinetry solutions, maximizing both storage and display space, while creating a practical and visually stunning kitchen that reflects the client’s personal style and global adventures.

Design Considerations

Frontier Kitchens designers incorporated several unique features into this remodel to meet the homeowner’s specific needs. A custom shaker-style wooden range hood became a focal point, blending seamlessly with the kitchen’s aesthetic. Open spice storage was designed for easy access and organization, keeping the cooking space functional. In the dining room, wall-to-wall built-in cabinetry was added, with each cabinet carefully planned to meet the homeowner’s storage requirements. These thoughtful design elements balanced practicality with beauty, creating a personalized and efficient kitchen space.

From the Home Owner

“Frontier Kitchens did an absolutely fantastic remodel of our existing kitchen and dining room into one well designed and really functional space. Heather Zapf took all of our ideas and made them work along with ideas of hers that made it work even better. It’s very functional, convenient, and really beautiful.  Everyone was easy to work with and the whole project was completed on time. It’s a nice bonus that the cabinets were custom made in Western NY. We highly recommend Frontier Kitchens.”
